Film Photography Workshop
Our film photography workshop gives young people the opportunity to experiment with analogue photography. In an age of digital-ness, this workshop engages students in alternative methods to photography, essentially painting with light, whilst broadening interests through hands on creation of the whole film photography process. From shooting street photography to developing film rolls and taking home negatives, this workshop will tickle anybody’s desire to take a step back from online presence and experience the ultimate hands-on creativity process.
Design Thinking Workshop
Our design thinking workshop empowers young people with the tools for a human-centred approach to design. By the end of the workshop, students will have a better understanding of the non-linear, iterative process of design thinking, and its various applications from improving experiences to product innovation. Students will have the opportunity to unleash creativity and demonstrate mental agility as they use the design thinking methodology to ideate on wallet design brief. This will require lateral thinking, goal-oriented teamwork, and an openness to critique from the users’ perspective. Design thinking has endless applications from the built environment to consumer products and by understanding the principles students will gain a perspective based method to understanding our world.
Architecture Workshop
Our architecture workshop incorporates design thinking principles with hands-on modelling. Through discussions in teams, students learn how to design for a client, ultimately sketching, creating scale drawings, and modelling home interiors that suit their clients’ needs. Students learn how to express their creativity whilst under certain design constraints – an important skill that extends beyond just architecture.
